Lopatie hall, Weizmann Institute of Science
Advances in medicine come from the combination of scientific research and comprehensive patient care that addresses all aspects of life. In previous conferences we built the foundation of the evolving field of neurorespiratory medicine and presented the state-of-the-art management of neuromuscular patients who require respiratory support. We now want to move forward by introducing in the coming conference a combination of basic science with less conventional supportive care approaches. The conference will culminate in an open discussion regarding all aspects of patient care in the home setting. We will also be glad to hear of current research in Israel and will have a poster presentation for original research and the best abstract will be chosen for oral presentation. We encourage your active participation and hope that this conference will lead to future collaborations, as well as research and development of better tools.
Our guest speaker this year is Dr. Gil Wolfe (see short bio below), who will discuss the state of the art approach to respiratory emergenies in neuromuscular diseases.
